We will undertake a thorough town planning review of your proposal prior to land acquisition or submission of a permit application and prepare a detailed town planning report summarising the merits of the proposal as part of due diligence investigations.


Town Planning Permit Applications

We can co-ordinate and prepare all documentation supporting your planning application including identifying any necessary specialist consultant reports that may be required to gain planning approval. From our experience we have established productive relationships with many leading consultants ensuring that should specialist assessment be required these can be efficiently arranged through our service. Following submission, we manage the application process in a strategic and collaborative manner to give your project the best chance of receiving approval within acceptable timeframes and budget. Permit applications which we retain significant experience in managing include, but are not limited to, the following:

Planning Scheme Amendments

We can manage the planning scheme amendment process including leading preliminary front-end discussions with council, government departments and service authorities to generate initial advancement of the amendment, prepare and arrange all required documentation and progress the amendment through council to adoption. In the event the planning scheme amendment advances to a planning panel hearing we can represent your interests through the hearing process.


VCAT Representation

In the event you find yourself needing to lodge an application for review or appear at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) we have experience in representing clients in a range of projects at the Tribunal including appeals against failure to determine a permit application within the prescribed time, permit application refusal, permit conditions, objector initiated appeals and mediation hearings. 


Urban Design & Master Planning

We will undertake review of your land, preliminary design or concept during the early planning stage ensuring it adopts a path from the outset which gives the project the best chance of delivering your objectives. Following a thorough due diligence review we can co-ordinate the preparation of project master plans and any other associated documentation to support your proposal which may consist of growth area development or advancing planning for a strategic site. The provision of advice in the early stage of project formulation will ensure investment is directed where of greatest value and benefit to realise and maximise project opportunities.    


Land Acquisition & Compensation

Assistance in the land acquisition and valuation process through undertaking a comprehensive review of town planning land use matters, preparation of town planning reports, including expert witness reports, and representation throughout the process including at VCAT hearings where necessary.
